Forensic Audio Services
Audio Analysis
Providing authentication of an audio clip to determine if the clip in question has been altered or edited in any way.
Audio Enhancement
Using spectrum analysis and various noise reduction algorithms to reduce background noise, electrical/static noise, or any unwanted artifacts and enhance or clarify voices or sounds
Audio Transcription + Video Captioning
Creating a video with a transcript of an audio or video clip. The transcript includes speaker identification if there are one or more voices. Audio Enhancement may be required in order to create an intelligible audio clip capable of being transcribed.
On-Site Services
On-site audio capture for the purposes of sound level measurement (SPL metering) or retrieval of audio/video files from recording devices
Our process

Establish Chain of Custody for Complete Documentation and Accountability of Integrity and Confidentiality

Understand Requirements and Origins of the Audio Files: What is the intent of the investigation and analysis? What format is the existing audio/video file in and how has it been captured? OR, when and how are we being asked to capture audio and, potentially, video? How many copies of a file currently exist, and who has had and currently has access to them? Gain access to the original device on which audio/video was captured to create an exact copy of the audio to work from, if possible.

Carefully Process Captured Files for Research, Investigation and Analysis: Document each step along the way. Capture screenshots of each task performed both before and after any edits or rendering is undertaken. Compose descriptions of each task and intended purpose. Create a backup state before each process is rendered that can be reverted to, if needed.

Deliver Files and Project Report to the Client: The Project Report includes the chain-of-custody documents, the documentation of the work performed, and the ultimate conclusions reached by the engineer performing the analysis.
